Corners

Corners provide good cover without obstructing too much of a battlefield. And they are that easy to make, that you just have to make some. They are pretty much only two jugged walls put together, with a little rubble on the in- and outside. Start off with cutting two rectangular pieces of foamcard. You don´t have to base them, but it looks better and gives you the possibility to add the rubble or an occasional ruined bolter. The ragged look can be achieved by ripping some of the card of the foam and crumbling the resulting edges. When you are satisfied with you look, add some Kitty Litter, sand, small stones or other detail from your bits box. Undercoat according to your resulting color. Use white for that creamy look like those above, use black when going for a metal look. Drybrush with your chosen endcolor, using progressively lighter paint.
You can really do some neat stuff with these corners, like adding a wooden structure, that looks like remnants of the first floor. I did that on the above corner, using some balsa wood offcuts.
The corners below I´ve painted black and then drybrushed with silver, adding some cracked upped computer pieces to the wall.
