Ruined Block of Houses and a Tower

This Ruin consists actually of a Wizard Tower and three seperate ruins. The Wizard Tower is a Pringles tube (hard to see, eh?), topped off with one of those disposable coffeecups. The ruins are made from foamcard, one level at a time, inserting a floor, then again a level. The roof is sofar only some cardboard, which supports the individual tiles in the future. I like individual tiles way better, although they are a lot of work. The whole thing is based on 6mm MDF, which makes it quite sturdy and you donīt have to be afraid of breaking something.

On the two following pics you can see the wooden framework, which was done using balsa wood. The Tower is going to be reached via zig-zag wooden steps.

When I make heaps of ruins, I use offcuts from foamcard and some balsa wood, pour some white or hot glue (sets faster => better) in a corner and then insert the ruined stuff. I am going to cover part of that with diluted white glue and bird sand, but before that, I have to add the wooden floors and some windows...
