Mortheim Ruins
These are my first ruins for Mortheim, still far from being finished. With the digital camera you can at least get some first pictures up pretty fast.
At first I assembled the original cardstock buildings, but I don´t find them too great. So I at least based two of them on corrugated cardboard, used real balsa wood as first level floors and support beams and added some small stuff. 2cm x 2cm tiles wered added as part of the city´s normal streets and some "sprue rubble" (I stole that idea from the WhiteDwarf magazine). The buildings were glued together and to the base using a HotGlue gun, creating a very strong bond.

The smaller of the ruins. The walls were textured with readymade filler and Bird Sand was glued to the base using PVA glue. I used Citadel Primer in ChaosBlack for the first time and found, that it really saves time vs. using a brush... Then I drybrushed the whole thing with CodexGrey and after that various shades of brown on the Sand and the rubble. Some Ivory and a ChestnutInk on the skulls on the windows were used to pick some detail out.
