| Some time ago I found a site which had some
ideas on constructing a 40k river / channel. Not your "normal" river, but
something you could find on an industrial world or in an underhive - the
nice blue river with stones and grassy banks just wouldnīt fit in a 40k
theme. I couldnīt find that site again, so I tried some ideas on my own.
The river banks are not made from earth, but concrete or steel. In the
sketches below I made the "water" blue, but on my terrain pieces the water (or
should I say gunk) is going to be some color between brown/grey/yellow -
itīs really nasty stuff you wouldnīt want to go skinny-dipping.
Hm - so first I had to think of some ideas, what pieces to make, how they
should fit together and the like. The sketches below are very basic pieces
without many details, but for playing around with a 3D-program good enough.
In the model I will use pipes, rats, corrugated steel plates and whatever I
find in my BitzBoxes.
The pieces are sized from 20x20cm to 20x40cm and the base is 3.2mm thick. |
