Tank

tank_1.jpg (8501 Byte)

A simple building. I made two foamcore sections shaped Tank_Layout.jpg (897 Byte). Then I cut a round hole in one of them and placed a small jar as a bottom tank. The walls are foamcore again, with the detailed one being the interieur of a 3.5" floppy disk. The upper tank is just a pipe that was in my bits box, and was finished with other bits like some screws and a top cover. The first level, which is supported with some plastic I-beams (actually the most expensive things on this piece of terrain... but I still had them and wanted to put tank_2.jpg (10141 Byte)them to some use), has some card rectangles on it, which have been scored at the diagonales. That gives the effect like heavy iron plates as used in construction. The ladder on the left side is a section of model rail. The whole piece was painted black and then drybrushed with silver. After that was really dry (takes a while!), I washed with brown and orange to give it a slightly decayed look. The base was covered with a mixture of PVA glue and sand, and then undercoated black and  drybrushed with light brown to make it fit in with my other scenery.
