Wooden Barricades

These barricades I made for use with Mortheim. The Boxed game does include some made from cardstock, but they look pretty plain. So I used some posterboard as a base and cut some card into 2cm x 2cm tiles as flagstones. Some balsa wood stripes were glued to two other stripes with PVA glue. When this was dry I strengthened the bond with some SuperGlue. I glued the barricade to the base with some HotGlue, as it sets pretty fast and creates a real strong bond with the base. Then I cut a small cut-off balsa piece as support. The balsa wood was scored using a Hobby knife, to get a slightly battered look to it and not looking as totally new wood. Using some PVA glue I sprinkled some sand onto the base, to represent mud when painted. The arrow on one of the barricades is from the Skeleton sprue.
